Take in the highlights of Melbourne City in the morning before travelling to Phillip Island to experience the famous Penguin Parade in the evening.
This tour is a combination of the Melbourne City Tour and the Phillip Island Penguin Parade Tour. It’s ideal if you want to get the very most out of your touring day. The combination of these two tours provides you with a full day of amazing experiences.
We’ll make sure you experience Melbourne like a local in the morning. Walk some of the famous arty laneways and visit the cafes, taking in the coffee aromas amid bustling traders and shoppers. We’ll show you the city’s significant landmarks and buildings, and share the rich history that has made Melbourne the most liveable city in the world for the last seven years in a row.
After lunch we head to Phillip Island, located 1.5 hours south of Melbourne. It’s a beautiful small island connected to the mainland by bridge and boasts stunning beaches and dramatic coastline views of the southern ocean.
The island is home to many wildlife experiences, including a Koala Conservation Centre and the Seal Rocks area, home to thousands of Australian fur seals. Of course, the most famous of all is the Penguin Parade. This is a must-see for any wildlife enthusiast! It is a truly unique experience watching the multitude of little penguins return from the ocean to their burrows each night.
For dinner the island has many restaurants by the sea and we advise you based on your preferences and book for you during the day. Dinner is at your own expense.
At the parade you join a small group ( max 12) led by an expert Penguin Ranger who provides in-depth information and first hand knowledge of the Penguins as they leads you throughout the centre, then takes you to the beach for front seat viewing of the parade.
Ideal for animal enthusiasts and those wanting a personal ranger to talk with.
Experience the thrill of a high speed 90 minute boat ride along Phillip Island’s rugged and spectacular coastline with Wild Oceans Eco-Boat Tour and enjoy an up-close encounter with one of Australia’s largest colonies of fur seals
If selected this replaces the Seal Rocks boardwalk and is subject to availability.
On the way to Phillip Island stop off at a Wildlife Sanctuary Park to get up close to the native Australian Wildlife. Pat a Koala and hand feed Kangaroo’s & Wallabies.
This option adds another hour to day and leaves earlier 12.30
Expert guide, all entry fee’s, upgrade to Pengion Plus, private vehicle, hotel pick-up drop off. Entry to Koala Conservation centre or Moonlit animal sanctuary.
