A days of adventure and fun awaits you on our Lake Mountain Snow Tour. Take the family for some fun tobogganing and snow play, or for those wanting some cross country skiing can explore many of the paths and trails and ski for 4-5 hours.
The Alpine resort offers many fun activities, food outlets, and amenities including ski hire equipment and clothing. With plenty of activities to chose from its a great first time location for you and your family, and for experienced skiers who want to see the Australian slopes.
Our private tour takes you in luxury through the picturesque Yarra Valley region stopping at Marysville for snacks and supplies then off through the sculptured mountain road to Lake Mountain resort. Your guide will show you where the Toboggan runs are and arrange any lessons. We can organise all hire and lessons for your group.
If you are having so much fun and want to extend the tour we can include an extend an extra few hours and return back later.
The mountain is a 2.15 hr drive north east of Melbourne through the scenic Yarra Valley into the mountains. The drive itself is spectacular through the tall mountain forests.
We recommend a 7.00am departure and a 5.00pm return. These times can be flexible midweek, weekends its important to leave early to avoid crowds.
To maximise your time on the mountain we recommend a 10 hour tour. This will give you between 4-5 hours on the snow.
If you are having fun and want to extend the tour by 2 hrs to 12 hrs you can do so on the day. Extra charge of $ 150.00 applies.
All skiing, toboggans, and clothing equipment can be hired on the mountain. Let your guide know what you need and we will arrange.
No you dont. If you cant ski then the toboggan run is your most fun, or just playing in the snow. For those more experienced Skiing and Snowboarding is available and these can be hired..
Bring as much warm clothing that you can. you will need to have
- Gloves & boots*
- Jacket & Pants*
- Sunglasses and Sunscreen*
- Small backpack or bag
If you don’t have any of these you can hire all clothing and equipment on the mountain.
Yes we have Free Wifi for you whilst in the vehicle and Lake Mountain offers free WiFi.
Its a fun day out so bring your family and your children. The mountain has two toboggan parks that are safe and supervised by resort staff and plenty of places for general snow play.
If you have children under 7 we must be notified to bring a harness seat for them by law.
